Webinar: CPT Codes for Genomic Sequencing Procedures: Current and Future Reimbursement

Presenter: Charles Root, PhD, CEO of CodeMap
Date: January 22, 2015

Abstract
In 2014, the American Medical Association announced new Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes to come out this year covering procedures using next-generation sequencing technology, including whole-genome and exome sequencing. In this webinar, these new codes will be examined along with possible reimbursement consequences. We will explain how the Medicare Gap-filling process for determining pricing works along with the 2015 timeline for developing payment levels. The importance of Palmetto’s MolDx program in setting price levels will be explored as well as the future impact of market based pricing under the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014. Ample time will be allotted for questions/answers.
